Theresa Eileen Mycyk (nee Murray) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the age of 86.

Family and motherhood were the most important things to Theresa, and she was the best mom anyone could have asked for. She was a devout Catholic and long-time member of St. Clements Church, and she loved bowling and sitting by Lake Huron at her summer cottage, watching the waves go by. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Michael for 46 years and a beloved friend to many. Theresa will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her sons Terrance Mycyk, Brian Mycyk (Christine), and Mark Mycyk (Lynne), and her grandchildren Sebastian and Mandella. She was predeceased by her husband Michael Mycyk (2002), and seven brothers and sisters from the Wellington Street Murray’s: Catherine, Joyce, Helen, Edward, John, Madeline, and Patrick. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Memorial Mass will be held at St. Clement’s Church at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Terry, Brian, Mark and Family:

Please accept condolences from myself and Beckie. From high school until well into my university years, I almost spent as much time at your house as I did at my own. Your mother was always welcoming, and made me feel like a part of your family.

Cherish the memories you have, and know that the world is a better place for having your mom in it for so long. Take care.

Mark, Lynne & Family,

We were so sorry to hear about Theresa’s passing.

I wasn’t fortunate enough to know Theresa well but I do remember being a guest at her home in Cambridge once and being treated like a prince! Theresa prepared a lunch for us that I still remember, and bag of goodies as we went out the back door!!

Karen and I still remember the weekend we spent at the Mycyk family cottage at Saugeen Beach. Theresa was not there but you definitely knew that it was her cottage!!

Ours thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire Mycyk family.
