Claudette Valdron

It is with regret that we announce the passing of Claudette (Goupil) Valdron of Dalhousie, who resided in Balmoral for the last 14 years. She was 82 years and 8 months old, and daughter of the late Sylvio Goupil and the late Bernardette (Cyr) Goupil.

She leaves to mourn her daughter Patricia Kelly of Fredericton (NB), her brother Marc-André (late Louise) Goupille of Pitt Meadow (BC), her sister Gaëtane (late Robert) Lavigne of Coquitlam (BC), her brother Jean-Roch (Gisèle) Goupil of Moncton (NB) and her granddaughter Madeleine Carrier of Burnaby (BC). She will also be missed by her nieces Micheline, Karine, Chantal and Adriane (Aurele), many cousins, numerous friends and all the staff and residents of the Manoir Balmoral.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert (Bob) Valdron (2009), her daughter Deborah Carrier, her son-in-law Michel Carrier, her infant sister Ruth, her niece Nathalie Lavigne and her brother-in-law Robert Lavigne.

Claudette was known for her kind heart, loyalty to her family and many friends. She had many talents such as quilting, knitting, crochet, and painting. She spent many hours and years working on genealogy.

As per her request, there will be no visits at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on May 11 2026 at 11:00 am at St Jean-Baptiste Church in Dalhousie. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Anyone wanting to make a donation in Claudette’s memory can donate to the Restigouche SPCA or to the organization of their choice.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Campbellton Regional Hospital for the care given to Claudette during her stay in the hospital. A special thank you to the staff at the Manoir Balmoral for the friendship and compassion.

C’est avec regret que nous annonçons le décès de Claudette Valdron de Dalhousie, qui vivait à Balmoral depuis les 14 dernières années. Âgée de 82 ans, 8 mois, elle était la fille de feu Sylvio Goupil et feu Bernadette (Cyr) Goupil.

Elle laisse dans le deuil sa fille Patricia Kelly, de Fredericton (N.-B), son frère Marc-André (feu Louise) Goupille, de Pitt Meadow (C.-B.), sa sœur Gaëtane (feu Robert) Lavigne, de Coquitlam (C.-B.), Jean-Roch (Gisèle) Goupil, de Moncton (N.-B.), et sa petite-fille Madeleine Carrier, de Burnaby (C.-B.). Elle manquera aussi à ses nièces Micheline, Karine, Chantal et Adriane (Aurele), plusieurs cousins, cousines et de nombreuses amies ainsi que tout le personnel et les résidents du Manoir Balmoral.

Elle s’en va rejoindre ceux qui sont partis avant elle : ses parents, son conjoint Robert (Bob) Valdron (2009), sa fille Deborah Carrier et son gendre Michel Carrier, sa sœur Ruth (bébé), sa nièce Nathalie Lavigne, son beau-frère Robert Lavigne.

Claudette était connue pour son grand cœur, sa loyauté à sa famille et ses nombreux amis. Elle avait beaucoup de talent pour le tricot, le crochet, la peinture et elle faisait de belles courtepointes. Elle a consacré plusieurs heures et années à ses projets de généalogie.

À sa demande, il n’y aura pas de visites au salon. Les funérailles seront célébrées le 11 Mai 2026 a 11 :00 à l’église St Jean Baptiste de Dalhousie. L’inhumation sera dans le cimetière paroissial.

En mémoire de Claudette, vous pouvez, si vous le désirez, faire un don à la SPA Restigouche ou à un organisme de votre choix.
