Donna-Claire (Rankin) Sterling, known to most as Bunny, passed away peacefully at Villa Renaissance on October 17, 2025, at the age of 85. She has gone to join her husband Alden, who predeceased her in 2003.
Born on March 24, 1940, in Dalhousie to Valerie and Ralph Rankin, Bunny proudly worked as Personnel Secretary at the Dalhousie papermill for 41 years until her retirement in 2001.
Outside of work, Bunny found joy in her pets, gardening, knitting, shopping, and music.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
Bunny’s siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews will remember her fondly long after goodbye.
