Franny as she was known to many, was born March 22,1925 and on Saturday, August 22, 2020 she joyfully accepted her one-way ticket home, with a smile on her beautiful face.
Frances was a loved daughter of Irene May Starnes Tozer and James Verner Tozer from Cullens Brook, QC, sister of her beloved Eldon Tozer, Verner Tozer, Ruth McColm, Ramona Colcord, and Winston Tozer, wife of her dear Burns Gregoire, loving mother of three - Eldon Gregoire (Marylou), Sandra Thompson (Donald), and Sharon Steiner, dearly loved Nana of eight - Brent Thompson (Vanessa), Shawn Gregoire (Karsty), James Thompson (Maria), Shelley Gregoire, Karen Harquail (John), Curtis Gregoire (Trixie), Colleen McNaughton (Peter), Erin Steiner, sweet Grandnanny to Spencer Thompson (Sabrina Venema), Chad Thompson (Rhianna), Alexis (Lexy) Harquail, Tyler-James (TJ) Harquail, Joshua Harquail, Britney Thompson, Sean Thompson, Jake Reid, Quinlan Gregoire, Kylar Gregoire, Kayley Gregoire, Hannah MacNaughton, Sadie Gregoire, Jordan Gregoire, and Zoey Thompson. Frances is predeceased by her husband Burns, brothers Eldon, Verner, and Winston, sisters Mona, and Ruth, son Eldon, daughter Sharon, and granddaughter Shelley.
She was guided by the five points of light, and at her request, Frances will be lawfully dismissed from membership of the Order of the Eastern Star, and her sisters will set an empty chair that will stand alone in her memory. There will be a void in the lives of the loved ones she leaves behind (daughter Sandra, son in-law Donald, daughter in-law Marylou, 7 grandchildren and all her great-grandchildren), but their hearts will forever be full of the love and joy she gave them. Many comforting memories will live on, her never-ending love, her warm and inviting kitchen, delicious meals and her freshly baked bread (with which she made the best Fluffernut sandwiches). Her many talents of baking, cooking, sewing, knitting, crocheting, and painting have been passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and will continue to be passed on for many generations. Frances also had a passion for reading, and “After all, to the well-organized mind, death is but the next great adventure” A. Dumbledore.
A private family graveside service will take place in Broadlands, QC.
If so desired, donations can be made to the St. Andrews United Church (Tide Head) Memorial Fund.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher's Funeral Home, Campbellton.
