Ida (Maltais) Levesque

Ida was born on October 25, 1927 in Campbellton to the late Alphonse Maltais and to the late Marguerite Vaillancourt.

Ida was an extraordinary woman who will be remembered for her love of bingo, kindness, and sharp wit. She was loved and admired by her family, relatives and everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Octave Vaillancourt, granddaughters Genesa (Tyler) and Danielle (Nicholas), great grandchildren Lateesha (Dan), Desiree, Dante, Nathan, Hailey, and her great-great granddaughter Olivia.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, John Sandwith, her second husband, Merle Roberts, her third husband Alcide Levesque and daughter-in-law Jeannine Vaillancourt.

We would like to thank the staff at Bursey Towers for their kindness and compassion towards Ida during her years as a resident.

Special thanks to the staff of the Palliative Care unit at Campbellton Regional Hospital for their compassion and professionalism towards Ida during her short stay.

Visitations will be held at Maher's funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St, Campbellton on Wednesday August 23, 2023 from 10:00 am to 10:50 am followed by internment at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery.
