Passed away at the Village Nursing Home in Campbellton on August 15th, 2017 at the age of 79, Mr. James “Jimmy” Grimes of Campbellton, husband of the late Glenda (Murray) Grimes. Born in Campbellton on February 11, 1938, he was the son of the late Matthew Grimes and of the late Stella Parker.
He worked most of his adult life at Lounsbury’s Garage in Campbellton; his later years, worked in maintenance at the Village Senior Home. He was a very strong hockey fan.
He is survived by his sister Barbara (Yvan) Moore of Garson, ON and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Glenda (Murray) Grimes, his brothers Eddy of Montreal, Marty and Donald of ON.
A funeral mass was held at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, Thursday August 17th at 11:00 am
In memory of James, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s Society.
