Born in Campbellton on January 10th, 1925, he was the son of the late Jim William Sansom and Margaret Moffat.
He joined the Canadian Navy at the age of 17, serving his country on the many convoys that crossed the Atlantic until the war’s end. He worked across Canada finally settling back in Campbellton in 1974, where he started Graystone Construction. He had many projects in the area that he proudly completed and retired at the tender age of 82.
He is survived by his wife Sarah, his step daughter Tanya Irvine (Ashley) of Campbellton,
his step son Alexander Mieszkowski of Vancouver, and his beloved granddaughter Maggie Irvine. He is also survived by two sisters, Jean Wood of Campbellton and Marcheta Biddescombe of Ottawa, his nephew Allan Alexander (Charlene) a great friend and companion and many other well-loved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Sansom and his sister Joyce Targett.
Respecting Mr. Sansom’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
