Janice Guitard

September 6, 1951- 2025

Surrounded by the love of her husband and children, Janice Muriel (née Adams) passed away peacefully in Glencoe, New Brunswick on June 22, 2025, at the age of 73.

Janice was born on September 6, 1951, in Campbellton, New Brunswick, to Ruth (Worrel) and Stuart Adams. In 1974, she married Michel Guitard, a man who would stand by her side for more than 50 years-a partnership built on deep faith, shared purpose and quiet devotion.

She leaves behind a close-knit family who adored her: her husband, her children Geoffrey (Roxanne), Pamela (Jason), David (Elizabeth) and Anthony (Elizabeth); her grandchildren Kateri, Isabella, Gabriel, Olivia, Madison, Wenonah, Louis and Maverick. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother Stuart Adams and her sister Julie MacDonald.

Janice was a calm and steady voice in the Charismatic Catholic Community-a woman of faith who gave her time and heart to the Agape Prayer Group and St. Anthony’s Church. Together with her husband, she helped guide hundreds of couples through marriage preparation, always with grace, insight and kindness.

She was quick-minded, compassionate, and always ready to listen. She had a quiet way of making you feel heard and understood. She also loved a good book, a mystery novel, the kind that kept you guessing until the very last page.

Janice never asked for recognition. She simply showed up-with love, with strength, and with faith. And for those lucky enough to know her, that was more then enough.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Glen Levit on July 9, 2025 at 10:00am
