Jeff David Lee

Jeff passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on May 3, 2026 after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer.

Born on October 31 1978, Jeff grew up in Campbellton, later moving to Montreal, Winnipeg, Toronto, and finally settling in Sainte Adele QC with his life partner Bjorn where together they ran a youth group home. Jeff put his life aside to ensure that he was taking care of the additional needs children. Everything he did was to benefit them.

Jeff and Bjorn loved to travel, from trips to the Maritimes, camping, Christmases in Winnipeg, and many trips to warm destinations to escape our cold Canadian winters - usually after spending Christmas in Winnipeg.

In recent years Jeff and Bjorn spent every available opportunity in the summer at their seasonal trailer in Franklin Quebec where the community became their "trailer family". He so enjoyed all the time spent there and will be missed greatly by them.

Jeff will be remembered by all who knew and loved him for his sense of humour, his need for organization and his ability to stay in touch with loved ones by many, long, regular phone calls.

He is survived by his partner Bjorn Europa, parents Bill and Jane Lee of Campbellton NB, sister Cindy (Rod) Wilson of St Francois Xavier MB, niece Jessica (Drew), nephews Ryan (Michaela) and Christopher (Celyna), great nephew Oliver, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His big personality will be missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Jeff’s oncology team of doctors, nurses and support staff as well as Dr Guilbault and the palliative care team at Hôpital Laurentien in Ste Agathe des Monts for their compassionate care during Jeff’s final days. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of one’s choice.

Service to be held at Maher’s Funeral Home Chapel

Friday May 22, 2026 at 11:00am with visitation starting at 10:00 am.

Interment to follow at St Thomas Aquinas Cemetery
