

It is it is with great sadness we announce the passing of Karl Chalmers Irvine who passed away at the age of 73 at the Hamilton General Hospital on November 9, 2013 surrounded by his loved ones. Karl was born in Campbellton on August 7, 1940 to the late Ronald A. Irvine and Alma Jane (Thompson) Irvine.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna Lois (Noble) Irvine, his children, John (Glenda), Ken (Tom), and Brian (Laurrie). Karl was a devoted grandfather to 6 wonderful grandsons, Scott, Cody, Kyle, McKenzie, Mitchell and Travis. Missed greatly by his mom, Alma; his brother, Kerry (Brigette); sisters, Ona Irvine, Gail Chesser and Susan Caron (Jean-Guy); sisters-in-law, Leta Thompson (Walter), Isabel Jenkins (Gerald), Norma Courty (Eugene) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Ronald A. Irvine.
Funeral services will be held at St. Andrews United Church in Tide Head on November 18th 2013 at 2pm with Rev. Jim Postlethwaite officiating. Interment in the Flatlands Cemetery. Visitations will be held at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne Street Campbellton, Sunday November 17th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Tree of Hope Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Funeral arrangements were in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
