CAMPBELLTON, NB died at home in a fire on March 30, 2013. She was 76 years old.
Marie was born in Rexton, NB Nov 26, 1936 to Bartholomew Stack and Doris (Woods) and grew up in Minto, NB with her 4 brothers: Jack, Ronnie, Bev and Art, and her two sisters: Maxine (Smith) and Eva (Daigle)
She graduated from Mt Carmel with a teacher’s degree, then moved to Campbellton, NB where she taught, then married her best friend Ronald Savoie who she lost after 47 years to cancer. During her 19 years in Halifax, NS she and Ron both worked at and retired from Dalhousie University.
They were close to their daughter Ronna (husband: Avery Wilson) and their two children: Andrea (Bezanson) and David. Their second son Paul was also able to spend close time with them. Their third son Marc was blessed to have Marie and Paul back in Campbellton as his and Donnas (Doucet) chilren: Alexis, Hailey, and Caitlin grew up. Her only great grandchild Levi, age 3 lives in NS
A celebration to her life service will be held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, NB, Saturday April 20th at 2 pm with visitation one hour before the service.
