Marilyn Ruth Olscamp

With much sadness the family of Marilyn Olscamp of Glen Levit, N.B. announces her passing on April 2, 2017 at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. She was born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland on June 29, 1955, the daughter of Rev. Vernon and Beth Smith.

She is dearly missed by her partner Michael O'connell; sister Eleanor (Michael Huck), Halifax; brother Jim (Claire Smith), Campbellton; sons Jamie (Heidi Peck) Olscamp, Calgary; Christopher Olscamp, Campbellton; David (Elysia Lethbridge) Olscamp, Sault Ste Marie; and grandson Benjamin Olscamp, Sault Ste Marie. Besides her father, she was predeceased by her late husband Danny Olscamp and sister Barbara (Phil Taylor), Winnipeg.

Marilyn was a strong women who persevered through many challenges during her lifetime. She enjoyed spending time gardening and boating on the Restigouche river. She was a kind friend to many and a wonderful mother to her three boys of whom she was so proud.

The funeral service will be held at Maher's Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St, Campbellton on Wednesday at 2:00 pm. Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne Street Campbellton, on Tuesday from 7pm to 9pm., and Wednesday from 1:00 pm until time of funeral.
