I remember her well from the days of my youth as the McCabe family were our next door neighbours in Charlo for many years.
In reading her obituary it seems she had a good life and had a fine family to support her. May she rest in peace!

Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of Marilynn. I was so fortunate to have worked with her . A true professional , kind, caring and always calm. Working the night shift , so many chores and responsibilities during the daytime , I always wondered when she slept. She was a role model for me during my nursing career and afterward into her very active retirement years. May she rest in peace reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Bless you all , cherish your wonderful memories, she was an amazing lady.

Marilyn was one to live life to the fullest and travel as much as possible.  She will be missed by many, including the Thrift Shop team and customers.  RIP

So  sad to hear of Marilyn’ s passing. She had the energy of two people. An excellent neighbour for a lot of years and held in high esteem by all the Cameron family on Andrew Street. She was instrumental in raising great kids who I know were so proud of her and she of them.

I knew Marilyn as a coworker at the Soldiers Memorial  Hospital. Also as the caregiver at the Regional Hospital to both of my parents. She was a pillar in the nursing profession.

So sad to hear the news. It was a gift to have known her through volunteering at Thrift Shop. Who will replace all the batteries and fix the dolls’ hair?! So quiet in her ways but with a wonderful sense of humour and always treating us with fudge and Rice Krispie squares…we will miss her dearly. Sincere sympathy to all her family.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Marilyn's passing. I got to know Marilyn through the their long time neighbours and friends, the Camerons. She was such a lovely lady. My heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

I was so fortunate to work alongside Marilyn for many years of my nursing career . Marilyn was one of the kindest most dedicated nurses  . Many of us who worked with her at Soldiers Memorial Hospital were so fortunate to have her on our team . She was always ready to work and ready to help , always respectful ,kind , generous  and caring a true mentor to many of us throughout  her nursing career . I have so many fond memories of Marilyn that I will cherish for many years . Her family and her children were her inspiration , may all of your memories give you  much peace .

I am so sorry to see this news. As a young RN at CRH she taught me so much, and her calm presence was something to aspire to. My sympathies to her family.

I knew Marilyn working at the st Thomas  church  she was a nice person to chat with and a very hard worker at the events we had at the church she never stoped untill we were all done she used to tell us about going away on trips with daughters

My sincere condolences. I met Mrs. Roy playing badminton about 20 years ago. She was kind to me and showed me her tricks. She would always talk about her children and grandchildren and how she loved them so much. I remember once she had a pedometer to count her steps. She was trying to reach 10000 a day and was giving feedback to her daughter who was doing the same. Such a nice lady. She will be missed.

Sympathy and prayers to all of Marilyn’s family and friends. She was a very smart nurse and when she was supervising you knew if there was a crisis she would coordinate everything and do everything for those patients.  She was more than fair to all. She took care of her husband well and always looking on the bright side  She loved her children and grandchildren and always had a story about them. She worked circles around  many, many people. I am  saddened to hear of Marilyn’s passing. So many of us knew her as an absolute pillar of strength and calm at Soldiers Memorial and the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
As a nursing supervisor, she was a force for good. She guided her teams with a steady hand, but where she truly shone was in the eye of the storm. Whenever an emergency transfer needed to be coordinated or urgent arrangements had to be made for a sudden, emergent surgery, Marilyn was the liaison everyone counted on. She managed life-and-death logistics seamlessly, ensuring patients got the critical care they needed without delay.
No matter how high the pressure in the hospital got, Marilyn always kept her cool. She possessed that rare, invaluable gift of a controlled sense of humor—a gentle, well-timed wit that could  bring a sense of reassurance to everyone around her.
She helped countless individuals and families during their most vulnerable moments, leaving a lasting legacy in the New Brunswick healthcare community. We were incredibly lucky to work alongside her.
