Rae Fulton McKinnon

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Rae Fulton McKinnon. He has left his beloved Upsalquitch to go to our Father’s home in Heaven. He leaves, still “standing in harness” and waiting to follow, his wife and soul mate, Georgia. He will be so greatly missed by his children Bryan (Fiona), Sheila (Ron), Gloria (Graham), Gaye (Rick); grandchildren Shawn, Craig, Dean (Marcee), Molly, Nikki, Melissa and Jordyn, great granddaughters Payton and Morgan. Also missing him is his sister Gayle Lordon, many nieces, nephews, and cousins in Upsalquitch and across Canada. I can see him striding through God’s Garden Gate to be welcomed by Anderson (Da), Myrtle (Mum), Donnie, Howard, Joan, Shirley and little Sharon Rae. What a wonderful reunion it must be.

He was born in the country, mastered every challenge, moved to Toronto to engineer the running of the Constellation Hotel, joined CIBC to manage building maintenance/signage across Canada and then moved back home to the woods in 1992.

He never backed down but the Lord sent him an obstacle he couldn’t overcome, and then extended His hand of Grace to bring him Home.

A funeral service will be held at a later date.
