

Reginald was born on August 5, 1935 in Doyeville, NB to the late William Gauthier and the Olive Lapointe.
One of dad’s first jobs was cutting and hauling wood with a horse for the spring log drive. He had life long love of work horses. He worked at mines in Murdochville. Then travelled from Campbellton to Brunswick mines in Bathurst before taking a job as equipment operator at sugarloaf park and retiring in his mid 60’s. dad was a big fan of the woods, enjoyed spending time at brothers camp. He loved cutting, hauling and splitting his own firewood. He made great bouillons, stews and bread. He also enjoyed a garden each year and was a fan of watching sports on TV, especially Baseball, Hockey and Curling. He spent many evenings sitting around the table and playing cards with friends. He fought off cancer for over 26 years period before finally losing a very brave fight.
He is survived by his sons Glenn and Kevin; his sisters Annette Landry from Dalhousie, Sharon Carrier and Maureen Gauthier; his brothers Lennie (Golda), Barry (Elaine) and Wayne. He will also me missed by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Dellie and
Carmel and his brothers Gabe and Paul.
A Funeral Mass for Reginald will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton on Monday, October 21 at 3:00 pm
The family will welcome family and friends at Maher's funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St in Campbellton on Monday from 1pm until departure for the funeral.
