Verna Bulmer

Verna was born on March 21, 1932 in Glen Levit, NB to the late Augustus Thompson and the late Lottie Adams, number 10 in a family of 11 children.

She worked at the Soldier’s Memorial Hospital and later at the Campbellton Regional Hospital as a ward clerk, retiring in 1997. She was active in her church all her life, and worked on many fund-raising events over the years. She was an avid bowler, and spent many winter hours knitting mitts and hats for donation.

She leaves to mourn her son Danny (Corinne) of Edmonton, daughter Alison of Flatlands, grandchildren Darren,Vanessa, Chelsea and Nicholas; great-grandchildren Robin and Beth; all of AB; her sister Iris of Flatlands and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by infant daughter Mona Catherine and son Bobby.

A funeral service for Mrs. Bulmer will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne in Campbellton on Tuesday March 24 at 3:00pm with visitations starting at 1:30pm at the chapel.
