Verna (Law) Murray

Verna was born on June 28, 1931 in Flatlands, NB to the late Gertrude (Irvine) and the late Frank Law.

Verna began teaching at the Robinsonville School in her younger years before having her children. At the age of 40, Verna began her career in nursing. She took great pride in her work and enjoyed her time with her patients very much. She retired in 1994 and from then on spent the majority of her time with family. She had a great love for books and loved to play cards, Auction 45 being one of her favorites.

She is survived by her sister Joan (Mann) wood, her children Frank (Judy) Murray, Kevin (Carmen) Murray, Ava (Ron) Court and Son in Law Jarvis Irvine. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, as well as her nieces and nephews and many friends. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Mina Irvine, brothers Donald & Tommy, sister Dona, as well as her son in law Ron and Step father Benjamin Mann.

A Funeral Service for Verna will be held at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on Thursday March 9th 2023 at 11:00 am.

The family will welcome family and friends at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St, Campbellton on Wednesday March 8th from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00, and on Thursday from 10:00 am until time of funeral at the Chapel.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Fontaine’s office, the Extra-mural Program as well as the Veteran’s & Geriatric/Palliative Unit and Medical unit at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
