I met Dan through Hunter Johnson and I count Dan as a dear friend. Though my actual interactions with Dan through the years were too few, each time was memorable and something from our time together created a lasting memory. Dan was that very special kind of person who could make you feel like you were the most important person in his life. His thoughtfulness, his humor, and his amazing ability to remember things we'd said years before always endeared me to him. His presence will be missed. I'm very fortunate to have befriended Dan back in the early 1980s and am grateful that Hunter shared his friend with me. Rest well, my friend.

I met Dan in 1992. My husband at the time attended law school with Dan. During the 3 years of law school his wife Cheryl, Dan, my husband Mike and I were separable. He was a giving and cheerful man. He left an impression on us that we won't forget. His close family and friends are blessed by having his memory live on through his daughters Madeline and Moranda. 

I was so saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. My heart goes out to my childhood friend Janet and to all of Dan’s family.
