Jack Shapiro, 89, died on July 1, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. He was the loving husband of Yvette Shapiro. They shared almost 67 wonderful years of marriage together.
Jack was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, but moved to Dallas in 1959. He worked for Kaymac Paper Company until he started his own company "Tolecraft-J.S. Wood Products", in 1972. He successfully ran the company for 20 years until he retired in 1992.
Jack was also a Red Cross volunteer for over 25 years. He became a captain and drove what was known as the "Disaster Unit" to fires, floods, etc. where he helped both victims and first responders.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor and story telling abilities. He loved his family, desserts, dogs and slot machines.
He is survived by his wife Yvette, his daughter Joy Thomas and his son Jay Sharp. He will be greatly missed. "Love you more", dad.
