Jeanette Schofield, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and precious friend to many, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, March 23, 2017. She was born March 29, 1930 in Memphis, Tennessee to her beloved parents, Loy and Emma Williams. Jeanette was raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1948. She and her family moved to Carrollton, Texas in 1968.
Many affectionately knew Jeanette as “Mama”, “Mammaw”, or “Grandma”. Her unconditional love of all people, and genuine servant’s heart, were both evident to those who were blessed to know her, which meant to be loved by her. Jeanette touched countless hearts throughout her 86 years of life, and always walked in great favor with her Lord. She was an extraordinary treasure who will be greatly missed.
Jeanette leaves behind two daughters, Debbie Maness of Lone Oak, Texas and Terri Schofield of Carrollton, Texas, one granddaughter, Sharlie Chapman of Plano, Texas, and two great-grandchildren, Cody and Esther Chapman.
“We little knew that day, that God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to loose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.”
Arrangements under the direction of Metrocrest Funeral Home, CARROLLTON, TX.
