

John was born July 3rd, 1945 in Loveland, Colorado to Albert and Viola Howland (deceased). He was raised most of his life on their family farm in Neosho, Missouri. John was a 1968 graduate from Central Missouri State College where he earned his bachelor of science in interior design & architecture. John began his construction career building homes for Fox and Jacobs for many years while living in Little Elm, Texas where his sons were born and raised. John later started his own business of home remodeling, custom cabinet making and repair which through the years developed into many long term relationships in the Dallas area with his clients due to his craftsmanship and caring character.
John leaves behind his beloved partner of over 25 years, Lawrence “Larry” Martin Kaese; his three sons, Ryan Howland (wife Robin) of Hannibal, Missouri, Andrew Howland of Fort Worth, Texas and Nathaniel Howland of Columbia, Missouri. He also leaves behind one grandson, Asher Howland, three granddaughters Anastasia Howland, twins Chloe and Kiley Howland; Two brothers, Kenneth Howland of Kensington, Maryland and Larry Howland of Harrisonville, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert “Bob” Howland of Joplin, Missouri.
