Joyce Dean CARLTON

Joyce Dean Carlton was born in Dallas on January 4, 1946 to the late Walter and Dora Cotton. She passed away peacefully with her children by her side on February 21, 2021.

Joyce married at 19 and was a devoted wife and a loving mother to four children. She worked for more than 25 years in the grocery industry, many of those in the floral department at Albertson's, from which she retired. She and her husband, Mickey were long time residents of Carrollton, where they lived for 56 years.

She was a long-time member of the Women of the Moose where she enjoyed making good friends and raising money for Mooseheart Charities.

She is survived by her children: Vickie Lesley & husband David, Tommy Carlton & wife Kim, Sheila Gaines; Grandchildren: Tasha, Katie, Randy, Ashley, Brandy, Courtney, & Colton; Great Grandchildren: Emma, Dominic, Cooper, Audrey & Izabel. She is also survived by her sister: Geneva Ashley, and brother: Kenneth Cotten and wife Betty.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter & Dora Cotton, her husband Mickey Carlton, their son Daniel Carlton; grandson Alec Carlton, and sisters Helen Odle and Lois Myers.

Thanks for all the great memories aunt Joyce. I will always cherish the memories of our family get togethers, holidays, ect. Hopefully one day I will make it to heaven and get some of aunt Joyce's potato salad again!

I have known many members of the Carlton family over the last 50 years. I remember seeing Joyce many times at Barbara Carlton Waddells house. She was a good wife and mother and always there to help. She will be missed. Joyce, Larry is happy you made it to Heaven and you two can be together again.
