Martin Edward Barnett

Martin Edward Barnett, 88, of Carrollton, Texas passed away February 4, 2024 with his loving wife by his side. Martin was born in Roswell, New Mexico on April 27, 1935 to the late Stanley and Velma Barnett. Martin worked as an Aircraft Mechanic and loved airplanes and flying. He was a quiet person by nature but once he started talking he really liked to share lots of interesting stories. He enjoyed traveling, often documenting those travels by taking photos, another of his talents. He will be greatly missed for his kind and generous nature.

Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Velma Durham Barnett and sister Louise Ritch.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Joyce; brother, Gary of Roswell and sister, Mildred Chewing of Howe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Martin will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Metrocrest Funeral Home from 12pm – 1pm followed by a funeral service at 1pm. The committal service will be held directly after at Hilltop Memorial Park in Carrollton, Texas.
