Nancy was born on December 10, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois to Dorma and Homer Ritchie. She started her career in the banking industry after graduating high school. Nancy married Ron Fox in 1957, and they joyfully welcomed their only child, Mike, that same year. In 1963, they moved to Dallas, TX and began flipping houses soon after. Nancy then joined Lou Smith Realtors as an agent and subsequent broker. For over 30 years she worked alongside her husband, Ron, and son, Mike, in their business, Fox Foundation Repair.
Nancy was a member of countless organizations throughout her lifetime, including Greater Dallas Association of Realtors, Dallas Women’s Council of Realtors, and Texas Real Estate Political Action Committee, through which she received numerous achievements. She was an active supporter of the Wilkinson Center, involved in her church, and was undeniably the world’s best “Nana”.
Everyone who met Nancy adored her. She was a beautiful, smart, kind, crafty, and energetic person. You could usually find her busily working on some project, but she always had time for the people in her life.
Nancy is survived by her son Mike Fox, her granddaughter McKenna Fox, sisters-in-law Kathy Fox, Patti Scottberg and Margie Roach, brothers-in-law Eli Fishpaw and Steve Roach, nieces Sarah Scottberg Cady, Katie Scottberg Greuel, Heidi Fishpaw, and Kylie Roach
