

Tommie was born in Center, Texas on July 17, 1940, to J.E. and Louise Collum. She graduated from Palo Duro High School, Amarillo, Texas, in 1958 and continued to Amarillo College. Tommie married Billy Wayne Dufur in November 1960; they were married for 20 years.
Tommie retired from the Pantex Plant in Amarillo in the late 1990’s and continued in various retail sales positions over the years. Her latest and favorite sales position was at the Walgreens in Coppell where she worked for over a decade up to the time of her passing. She often spent her spare time making jewelry and candles. She enjoyed most her time spent with family, her 4 sons, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Tommie is preceded in death by her father J.E. Collum, her mother Louise, and her son Gregory Brent Dufur in 2017.
Tommie is survived by her sister Carol Wilson of Wichita Falls, Bill Dufur of Lewisville, her son Marc Dufur and his wife Lisa of Arlington, son Todd Dufur of Keller, son Patrick Dufur of Richmond Virginia. Grandchildren Ryan, Clayton, Tyler, Ciara, Connor, Chloe, Carson, and Talulah. Great Grandchildren Jaydn, Natalie, and Eli Rome. Nieces Allyson Forbins and Dana Johns and nephew Brad Wilson. Along with many other family and friends.
Visitation for Tommie is scheduled for Thursday January 16 from 12pm to 6pm at Metrocrest Funeral Home at 1810 Perry Road in Carrollton, Texas. The funeral service will begin on Friday January 17 at 12pm at Metrocrest Funeral Home followed by burial service at Hilltop Memorial Park.
