

Bill was born on March 9, 1924 in New York City, but lived most of his life in Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Dennis Whitehead and brother Milton Whitehead. He is survived by his son, Claude Whitehead and wife, Nancy; daughter Michelle Whitehead; two granddaughters, Kelli Moerschell and husband, Joe and Holly Viles and husband, Nathan; three great-grandchildren, Zack and Andrew Moerschell, and Oliver Viles; and one sister Olive Hogan.
Bill proudly served in the United States Army in World War II. He was stationed in Australia and the Philippines where he fought to liberate the Philippines. He was proud to be an American.
He worked at Westinghouse 45 years before retiring.
Bill had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. He loved dancing, exercising, playing dominoes and checkers with friends, watching the Cowboys and Rangers, going to WinStar and listening to country music. He was a man of faith and read his Bible every day.
There will be a reception prior to services from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Parlor. Please come by and speak with the family.
Burial will follow services at Hilltop Memorial Park.
