Elmerna had a deep appreciation for music, drawing, and arts and crafts, showcasing her creativity especially in flower making. Those who knew her recognized her as a dedicated worker who consistently supported herself and took great joy in her relationships with friends and family.
She is survived by her two brothers, Verland and Patrick Castillo. Elmerna is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Angela and Anthony Castillo.
A wake will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Santa Rosa Outreach Church from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Castillo Cemetery, Tohono O'odham.
