Mrs. Valencia was born on Dec. 12, 1938, to Cipriana and Eugenio Torres in Fabens, Texas. She married and lived most of her life in Casa Grande.
Guadalupe loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she always loved to have the children around her and they made her happiest. She enjoyed going to casinos and getting scratcher tickets. There was never a dull moment with her, and she made everyone laugh and feel included. She treated everyone around her like family, and everyone knew Guadalupe as "Mom."
She was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, John G. Survivors include four sons and daughters, John Valencia Jr. of Casa Grande, Gloria McLellan of Casa Grande, Rachel Valencia of Chandler and Pete Valencia of Casa Grande; 14 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
Visitation beginning at 8:30 a.m. and rosary recited at 9 on Friday, Aug. 23, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Funeral Mass celebrated at 9:30. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
