

and servant of God, passed away into the arms of her Savior on
October 19, 2025. She was born on September 5, 1947, in Minot North
Dakota to Monica and Patrick Sullivan.
Mary served honorably in the United States Air Force. After her
service, she graduated from Arizona State University. Mary went on
to devote over three decades as an elementary teacher. Her
classroom was a place of warmth and encouragement where
countless students found inspiration and support.
Mary married “the love of her life,” Rodney Jay Purdom. She was a
devoted mother to Kara(Rhett) Currie and Julie(Clint) Shearer, and a cherished grandmother to
Kenna, Garrett, Audrey, Will, and Claire- each of whom brought her
immense joy and pride.
Mary is survived by her beloved husband, Rod Purdom. Sisters Lori
Crawford, Dottie Van Hazel, and Judy Hancock. Brothers Tom
Sullivan, Jerry Sullivan, and Bobby Sullivan. She was preceded in
death by her parents, Patrick and Monica Sullivan and brothers Tim
Sullivan and Johnny Sullivan.
A faithful servant of Christ, Mary lived her life as a testament to His
love. She served her church and community with humility, always
putting others before herself. Though her earthly journey has ended,
her legacy of faith and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts
of her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
Services will be held at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church on Friday, November 21st 9:30 am Rosary Followed by Mass at 10am.
In Lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to St. Anthony's Church building fund.
