AK-CHIN - Sally Gallegos, 50, died June 6, 2009 at Chandler Regional Medical Center. Rosary and wake will begin at 7 p.m. this Friday at the Gallegos home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Mission by the Rev. Dale Jamison. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.Mrs. Gallegos was born in Mesa. She was a homemaker. Her hobby was reading, and she enjoyed cooking, dancing and especially spending time with her family.Survivors include her husband, Fortunato; four daughters, Angelina Soliz, Lily Maldonado and Erica N. Gallegos, all of Ak-Chin, and Elva M. Gallegos of Phoenix; a son, Alejandro Maldonado Jr. of Ak-Chin; five sisters, Irene Arredondo, Sylvia Gutierrez, Maria C. Hernandez and Rebecca Ruiz, all of Ak-Chin, and Gloria Alejandro of Phoenix; a brother, Pablo Alejandro of Tempe; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
