BAPCHULE — Willard L. Johnson, 86, died on Oct. 4, 2011, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center.The graveside service will be at 8 a.m. Monday in Vah-Ki Cemetery.Mr. Johnson was born on May 10, 1925, in Phoenix and was a son of Luke Johnson and Helen Lewis. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a farmer and an irrigation supervisor for the Gila River Indian Community and retired after 30 years. He was involved in Gila River horse racing and rodeo.Survivors include a son, Gary Johnson of Bapchule, and several grandchildren.
