CASA GRANDE - William Walter "Bill" Isom, 95, a longtime Casa Grande-area farmer, died on Oct. 31, 2018.Mr. Isom was born to Walter and Nellie Isom on Oct. 7, 1923, in Modesto, California. He served as a second lieutenant in the Army Air Corps from 1943 until 1945, during World War II. He farmed in the Casa Grande area from 1945 until 2012 and served on the boards of Arizona Grain Inc., Sunset Farmers Gin Company, Central Arizona Irrigation and Drainage District and Electrical District 4. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Turlock, California.He was a deacon at First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande and past president of the Casa Grande Elementary School District board.Survivors include his wife, Virginia; a daughter and son, Pamela Schwartz of Glendale and Thomas Isom of Casa Grande; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia, and two sisters, Janice Gray and Muriel Rowland.Celebration of life at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, at First Presbyterian Church.J.
