Claudia Louise Crawford

The bright city of San Diego, California was a suiting place to bring forth this little ray of

sunshine to Howard and Evelyn Bullen.

As the youngest of five, she joined her four siblings, three brothers, and one sister, and began

the journey we call life.

With a complication to her kidneys, at birth, you’d think that her given name (Claudia-Latin

meaning LAME) was a proper choice. However who she’d eventually live to be might have

been better defined by the name she would have chosen for herself, Rose.

With her formative years being lived out in that bright California sun, highschool years and

beyond, she earned membership in the order of the sword and shield from 1962 to 1964. In

1966 she met and married Paul Stanley Crawford. Paul and Claudia's children, Paul Jr., Cherri,

Annette, Boaz, Amanda came in the years that followed. In 1987 Claudia was bestowed a

certificate of merit for the Wilton Method of Cake Decorating course. When taken amongst the

plethora of her many talents such as painting, crochet, cross-stitching, card making, organizing,

drawing, crafting, writing, flower-arranging, canning, creating—you might say cake decorating

“topped” them all.

As a mother of five, she learned the art form of sacrifice and commitment to family. As a poem

she dearly loved states, “A family is a blessing…”.

That is what we remember, a mother—through It all—doing her best to be a blessing.

She joined the Lord in Heaven in the early evening of July 6, 2021. As family came and held on

tight she went on to be forever pain-free—truly alive and at peace with the Lord. Her fight is

over—a new life has begun.

She is survived by her faithful and loving husband, Paul Crawford, her five children; Paul,

Cherri, Annette, Boaz, and Amanda—their spouses, and 13 grandchildren.
