Linda Jane Pemerl

Linda was born in Chehalis, June 15, 1947, to Josephine (Smaciarz) and Fred Pemerl. She is survived by her sister, Sally (Glenn) Chilcott and brother, Bill (Judy) Pemerl; five nieces Sherry LeDuc, Sandy (Shawn) Jones, Stephanie (Jeff) Gundersen, Angie Martinson and Sara (Erik) Carlson; two aunts, Logie (Nathan) Howell and Vi Wylam; and numerous cousins. Linda was passionate about many things in life, the top three being her faith, her family and politics. She was an avid supporter and the biggest fan of her eleven great-nieces and nephews in their various activities. She will be lovingly remembered by all of them – Samantha LeDuc, Ryan LeDuc, Brock Jones, Cole Martinson, Braden Jones, Kennedy Martinson, Molly Gundersen, Riley Carlson, Taylor Martinson, Nate Gundersen and Annika Carlson.

Linda was a woman of conviction who never shied away from a lively discussion and was happy to share her opinions with officials of any sport, at any time, especially when rooting for her great-nieces and nephews. Always quick with a smile and a laugh, she was a joy and a blessing to her family, her large extended family and her many friends. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.

She enjoyed traveling. Most recently, on her casino bus trips and a special trip to eastern Canada. She had many adventures with her Mom and her Aunts, referring to them as “The Golden Girls.” She was a huge sports fan - Seahawks, Mariners, several college teams and any sport involving her family.

Linda graduated from W. F. West High School (a proud member of the Class of ‘65) and earned her BA from St. Martin’s College. She retired from the State of Washington after 30+ years, most recently working as a paralegal in the State Attorney General’s Office.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents Josephine (Smaciarz) and Fred Pemerl, her grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Linda’s funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5th, 2018, at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church in Chehalis. The Rosary will be prayed at 10:30am, just prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Claquato Cemetery. Lunch will be served at the St. Joseph School Auditorium.
