Barbara Teeter Collins, 86, peacefully went to her heavenly home on April 21st, 2023. Barbara, the daughter of William and Anne Teeter, born in Charlotte, North Carolina on November 2nd, 1936 was a bookkeeper for Ervin Construction Company (amongst others) and retired as a secretary from Bible Baptist Christian School.
She loved the Lord, her church, family, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren who endearingly called her “Q-Tip.”
Barbara is survived by her husband, Wade D. Collins; her children, Jeffrey Collins (Rebecca), Rosalyn Long (Jessie Jr.), Karen Bailey (Ronald), and Michael Collins (Shelley); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many other loving extended family members
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 24th, 2023 at Bible Baptist Church, 2724 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC. Visitation will be held prior from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Bible Baptist Church. Graveside service to follow at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org) or Bible Baptist Church.
