

Bryson was born April 2, 1997 in Matthews, NC. He was an active member of Trinity Fellowship Church in Matthews and Living Way Foursquare Church in Indian Trail as long as he was able to attend. He will be remembered for his radiant smile and the joy he brought to everyone he met. Bryson was preceded in death in 2004 by his “Nana,” Sandra Gunter Heilig.
Surviving are his mother, Tonya Hudson; father, Eddie Hudson; sister, Alivia Hudson; grandfather, Charles Heilig, affectionately known as “Gaga”; grandparents, Freda and James Hudson, Sr.; great-grandmother, Kitty Lockwood; great-grandparents, Winona and Charlie Bender; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 19, at Trinity Fellowship Church in Matthews. Interment will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
The family would like to thank all of the dedicated and compassionate nurses at Bayada Nurses, for their excellent care, guidance, love, and support. The family is especially grateful to the nurses that cared for Bryson for the first 12 years; Holly Hardison, Kim Smith and Sherri Winstead, who are now considered family.
