Dannie was known for his love of music and performing. He enjoyed working in his trade as an electrician. Most importantly he loved his family and friends. Dannie could make anyone smile and offered the shirt off his back on more than one occasion.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dannie Louis Burris Sr., his mother, Linda Burris Chitwood, and a daughter-in-law, Renae Burris.
He is survived by his partner of 15 years, Angela Cutler of Mint Hill, NC; sister, Amy Elizabeth Thornton of Myrtle Beach, SC; son, Jesse Andrew Burris (Jennifer Lemieux) of Daytona Beach, FL; son, Corey Alexander Burris (Kayla Prunty) of Columbia, SC; daughter, Brittany "Dani" Danielle Burris of Salisbury; and grandchildren, John Wyatt Burris, Tripp Brawley Dashab, and Elliana Tori Dashab.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, May 22, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Stooges Pub and Grub - 13230 Albemarle Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
