Miss. Deaton, age 62, of Charlotte, died September 5, 2018. Born October 30, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Richard Deaton and Wilma Cooper Deaton. Miss Deaton retired as a telephone operator for Walmart.
The family will receive friends 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Sunday, September 9th at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. The memorial service to celebrate the life of Debra Elaine Deaton will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home chapel.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Samantha Deaton; two grandchildren, Betty Chavis and Patrick Sturdivant; five brothers, Steve Deaton, Phil Deaton, Tommy Deaton, Douglas Deaton and Donald Deaton; a sister, JoAnn Evans; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Miss Deaton was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Deaton, Cecil Deaton, Michael Deaton and Kenneth Deaton; and two sisters, Betty Austin and Brenda Wilson.
