Donald Ray Jordan Sr.

Gifted with a heart full of love and unwavering faith Don dedicated his life to God, his family, and his community. He found his greatest joy in the love of his wife and their son, and as “Pawpaw,” he treasured every moment shared with his grandchildren. As a lifelong member of New Hope Baptist Church Don’s faith was strengthened through worship and the fellowship he shared with his church family. Though his absence leaves a deep void, his memory will continue to inspire all who knew and loved him.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved son, Travis Jordan, his parents, L.B. and Catherine Jordan, his brother, Dale Jordan, Boyce and Marzelle Rowell.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Leah Jordan; his son, Donald Ray Jordan Jr. and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Alexis, Michael, and Tucker; his sister, Nindy Caldwell and husband, Daryl; nephew, Mike Conly and wife, Sherri; niece, Lisa; nephew, Chase; brother, Dave Jordan and spouse; and daughter Joy. He is also lovingly remembered by numerous extended family members, great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Don’s life will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at New Hope Baptist Church, 7841 Idlewild Road, Charlotte, North Carolina. Visitation will be from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, service at 2:00pm.

Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina
