Ed was born in New York, New York on June 25, 1937, to parents, Paul Brimo and Mary Catherine Brimo (Zambetti). He proudly served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1963 on the USS Compton. After his years of service, Ed moved across the river and settled in the state of New Jersey where he started his accounting career in containerized shipping in Port Elizabeth.
In 1995, Ed relocated from Paramus, New Jersey to Matthews, North Carolina with Sea-Land Service Inc. and retired years later. He made a lasting impression on his community. Ed loved to bike, sail, swim and spend time outdoors, but most of all, he enjoyed his days surrounded by his friends and church family. Some of his other passions were travelling, building his custom made remote controlled planes and helping friends and the church with any projects they needed assistance with. As his friends and neighbors can attest, Ed never met a dog he did not like. His neighborhood is filled with dogs and all would be sure to visit with Ed on their daily walks. He was a multi talented person, that was always supportive, kind and fun to be around. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
