She was born to the late Delma A. Morris and Irma Parrish Morris of Rock Hill, SC. Faye graduated from Rock Hill High School in 1961 and then attended Kings College in Charlotte. She is survived by her fiancé, Bruce Clayton and his family, as well as her son, John McLamb (Jennifer) and grandson Mitchell McLamb of Huntersville. She also leaves to cherish her memory, Beverly McLamb (sister-in-law) and many nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband James (Jim) McLamb, she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen Morris and sisters, Barbara Honeycutt, Marceile Dively and Elaine Seay.
Faye had several loves of her life: her son and his family, Bruce, selling houses and traveling. She was an award-winning Realtor in the Charlotte area for more than 30 years working at several firms, with the most recent being Helen Adams Realty. Among many other things, she loved to travel to Hilton Head Island with Bruce and enjoy a good margarita with extra salt.
A memorial service will be held at McEwen Funeral Service- Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227 on Friday, September 29th at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends following the service.
The family requests that donations be made to Via Health Partners (Hospice) in lieu of flowers.
