Frances Christenbury Beaver

Frances Christenbury Beaver entered the gates of heaven on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. A native Charlottean, Frances was the daughter of Holman and Dora Parker Christenbury. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, James L. Beaver, Sr.; her parents; two brothers, William B. Christenbury and Harold L. Christenbury; and grandson, Ritchie Watson.

Frances worked for many years in the medical field, retiring from Providence OB-GYN after 24 years. She is a member of Christ Presbyterian Church. She and her husband were active in the Charlotte bowling community for over 25 years where they met a number of their lifelong friends.

She is survived by her four children, Jim Beaver (Teri), Randy Beaver (Debbie), Karen Davidson (Steve), and Kathy McNair (Jon); ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Joyce Willis (Bobby), Jimmy Christenbury (Jeanie), and David Christenbury (Elizabeth); in-laws, David Beaver (Barbara), Freida Beaver of Sykesville, MD., and Brenda Guest of Oklahoma City, OK.

McEwen Funeral Service of Mint Hill is serving the family. Receiving will be at McEwen Mint Hill Friday December 7, 2012 from 6 to 8 pm with funeral services Saturday December 8, 2012 at 1pm at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel.
