Glenn Eric Barbour

Glenn Barbour, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished son, and loyal friend, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Glenn’s life was a testament to the power of family, faith, and joy.

Born and raised in Suffolk County, New York. Glenn graduated from Milford High School in 2003. He continued his education at Suffolk County Community College and Southern New Hampshire University, always striving to grow and better himself. A proud Jehovah’s Witness, Glenn lived his life guided by faith, compassion, and integrity.

Glenn had a deep passion for sports—both watching and playing—and found joy in the thrill of the game. He was never happier than when surrounded by his family, whether it was during a spirited game of catch, a scenic motorcycle ride, or one of his legendary backyard barbecues. His epic grilling skills and playful spirit brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dara, and their three sons, Jett, Mavrik, and Kenzo, who were the light of his life. Glenn also leaves behind his loving parents, Mike and Stephanie Jarvis; his father, Glenn Barbour (Nadine); his brother, Jason sister, Valyncia, siblings, Jalan, Justin, and Nia; and his best friend, Alex.

He will be deeply missed by his many aunts and uncles—Serita (Dave), Karen, Derrick, Michael (Crystal), Donnell (Sonie), Jarrod (Lourdes), Chris (Jazmine), Tracy (Keisha), Kevan, Gregory, Jeffrey, and Wendall—as well as numerous cousins, relatives, and friends.

Glenn’s legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.

Family will receive friends Thursday, June 5th, 2025 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, NC 28277. Celebration of Life service will be Friday, June 6th, 2025 at twelve o'clock in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel. Glenn will be laid to rest following the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery 3700 Forest Lawn East Drive Matthews, NC 28104.
