Born May 29, 1944, in Charlotte, North Carolina, Hurley was a son of the late James and Mary Curlee. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Larry Curlee. Hurley served in Korea with the U.S. Army and retired from Matthews Building Supply. He loved his family, friends, NASCAR, and fishing at the Outer Banks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Delane Mullis Curlee; his son, Hurley Benton Curlee, Jr., and his wife, Jennifer E. Curlee; his daughter, Paula Dean Curlee; and his grandchildren, Tyler James Curlee and Tayler Dean Curlee.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Wilson Grove Baptist Church, with a funeral service following at 12:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow in Sharon Memorial Park.
