Born with a spirited heart and a generous soul, Jenelle poured her energy into the people and activities she loved most. She was happiest in the company of her family, whose lives she enriched with her warmth, humor, and unwavering support. Her kitchen was often the center of that love—filled with the aromas of her home‑cooked meals and the comfort that only her presence could bring.
Jenelle had a lifelong passion for dancing, and she carried that rhythm with her everywhere she went. She also loved to travel, especially by road, savoring the freedom of the open highway and the chance to discover new places at her own pace. Jenelle also loved to babysit her grand-dog, Sugar, whenever his parents traveled.
Those who knew Jenelle will remember her as a woman who embraced life fully—who laughed easily, loved deeply, and found joy in both adventure and everyday moments. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished and the countless memories she created along the way.
She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
She is survived by her partner of 28 years, Loy Bost of Aquadale, North Carolina; son, Bobby Carroll (Cindy) of Waxhaw, North Carolina; grandsons, Joshua Carroll (Savannah) of Garner, North Carolina, and Christopher Hopkins (Sara) of Indian Trail, North Carolina; granddaughter, Lauren Harrah of Salisbury, North Carolina; and great grandchildren, Harleigh Hopkins, Zachary Hopkins, Jaelynne Hopkins, Bez Carroll, Austyn Harrah, Walker Belk, and Lainie Belk.
Jenelle was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carroll; son, Dale Carroll; and mother, Ora Jane McCambridge.
