Jon Paul Bain

He is survived by his parents, John and Georgette Bain of Mint Hill, North Carolina; his sister, Tammy Bain of Mint Hill, North Carolina; his fiancée, Kathleen Kennedy and their children, Steven, Jacob, Kristin and Kaitlin, of Stanfield, North Carolina; his paternal grandfather, John W. Bain of Butler, Pennsylvania; his maternal grandmother, Wynonah Weaver of Deland, Florida; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.

Jon was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Theresa Bain of Butler, Pennsylvania, and his maternal grandfather, J. Garland Weaver of Deland, Florida.

Jon attended Independence High School, and was employed with Barton Contracting in Pineville, North Carolina. He enjoyed spending time with his fiancée and their children. Jon loved spending time outdoors fishing, hunting and working on his truck.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2017, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. Friends are cordially invited to a reception immediately following the service until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
