Kelly Dianne Martin

Kelly Dianne Martin, age 52, of Mint Hill, North Carolina passed away at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday, November 29, 2020 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Kelly was born October 28, 1968 in Charlotte, North Carolina. A life-long Charlotte resident, Kelly attended East Mecklenburg and Independence High Schools. At the time of her diagnosis, she was employed by Convergence Medical Staffing as a Credentialing Specialist. When Kelly wasn’t spending time with family or friends, you could find her out treasure hunting in thrift stores and on Sunday, cheering on her Carolina Panthers. With her quick wit, Kelly was always making someone laugh until their stomach hurt and with her heart of gold she could make someone smile in the worst of times; she will be missed by all who knew her, especially her two greatest accomplishments, her children.

Kelly leaves behind her two adored children, Ashley and Tanner Locklear; her parents, Dianne Garwood of Belmont, North Carolina and Mike & Jane Martin of Hickory, North Carolina; three little sisters, Courtney Agombar (Chad), Heather Martin and Natalie Martin as well as her cherished nieces and nephews who lovingly called her Aunt KK.

A visitation for Kelly will be held Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC 28227, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
