Kerry Bruce Humphries

A memorial service to celebrate Kerry’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel with Rev. John M. Boulware officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Inurnment will take place at the Salem Cemetery in Winston-Salem, NC.

Kerry was born on September 5, 1960 in Charlotte NC, son of the late Bruce Humphries and Kathleen Rhoads Sellers.

Kerry graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1978. He served eight years in the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic on the C-130 Hercules aircraft while assigned to Pope AFB, NC. Following his service, Kerry maintained Challenger 300 series aircraft at the Bombardier Aerospace Repair Center of West Virginia.

Kerry returned to North Carolina where he worked for Matthews Automotive and Towing until his unexpected death.

Kerry is survived by his daughter, Tiara Woodson of Weston, West Virginia; step father, Grady C. Sellers, of Cheraw SC; sisters, Cynthia H. Sturgis, of Black Mountain NC, and Catherine S. Boulware and husband, John, of Plattsburg MO.

Kerry was preceded in death by wife, Mary Patricia Humphries and step sister, Connie D. Sellers.
