Linda Harris Simmons

Linda Harris Simmons, 67, of Indian Trail, NC, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was born on February 4, 1948 in Burlington, NC to the late Ben F. Harris and Louise Gunter Harris.

Mrs. Simmons was a Vice President of Operations for over 30 years in the Insurance profession. She was an avid runner, loved to travel and adored her dog, Rosie. But, when her family thinks back on her life, they recall how much of a strong and independent lady she was. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her niece/daughter, Beth Everett; children, Terri (Fred) Longietti and Tim Simmons; grandchildren, Riley Danieleski, Grayson Cariaga, Colton Cariaga, and Mark Simmons; sister, Pam (Johnny) Faust; brothers, Frank (LuAnna) Harris and David Harris; nephew, Jason Everett; and many other nieces and nephews.

Linda’s husband of 35 years, Frank Simmons and her sister, Rosemary Everett preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held at twelve o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, the 7th of November, 2015 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, with Reverend Marianne Romanat officiating. A visitation will be held from ten until twelve o’clock prior to the service.

Interment will follow at two thirty in the afternoon at Forest Lawn East Cemetery in Matthews, NC.
