Lois Yvonne Thompson

She was born the daughter of Alton Davis and Cora Mary Morgan on January 11, 1940 in Rockingham, NC.

Von graduated Albemarle High School in 1958. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her sons Kevin Thompson and wife Gailyn, Emory Thompson and wife Mary Beth, and Eric Thompson and Sally Aponick; grandchildren, Bryan Thompson and wife Maranda, Chad Thompson, Blaire Thompson and Jarrett Thompson; great grandchildren, Grant, Caleb and Emma; sister, Karen Russell; nephews and nieces; and several great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lyndell Thompson, mother, father and J.D. Morgan.

The celebration of her life will be held at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 on Sunday, February 14, 2016. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm with a service to follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm with Tim Walker officiating. Graveside to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.

The family would like to thank friend and caregiver Jocelyn Roach and the staff at Clear Creek Rehab in Mint Hill for the wonderful care that they provided Mrs. Thompson.
